How to convert measurements between inches and centimeters

There are two types of measurement units that we support for the sizing columns: 

• Inches &
• Centimeters (cm)

You can easily set your preferred unit of measurement for an individual tech pack from your tech pack settings.

However, you can also set the default measurement unit for your entire organization via organization settings. This helps keep your sizes consistent across all tech packs created by any team member.

1. How to work with inches in fractions and inches in decimal

If your preferred unit of measurement is inches, you can choose between these two input formats: 

• Inches in fraction (for example 1 1/2) and 
• Inches in decimal (for example 1.5) 

 

You can switch between these inches formats from your organization settings. Here's how it works - 

Step 1:  Slide out your side menu by clicking  icon located on the top-left corner of your screen.   Then click on Account & settings option.  

 

 

 

Step 2: Click on the organization settings option from the menu.

 

 

Step 3: Click on the Default Sizes tab located on the top navigation bar of this page.

 

 

Step 4: Select the  default units as inches and select between the  the input format - inches in fraction or inches in decimal here. That's it! 

 

 

You may also change the unit of measurement inside all the techpacks for your organization by simply moving the toggles from inches to cm as shown in the gif below.

2. How to convert measurements from inches to cm

Note: While switching, we'll round off to 2 decimal places so there will be minor adjustments

 

You can convert measurement from inches to cm in your techpack from tech pack settings. Here's how it works - 

 

Step 1: Inside your folder click on the techpack for which you want to change the unit from inches to cm.

 

 

Step 2: Click on this gear icon located on top of your techpack cards page.

 

 

Step 3: Your techpack setting will pop open, click here on the sizes tab. See the units option at the bottom of the window

 

Step 4: Simply move the toggle to switch the unit from inches to cm as shown below.

3. How to convert measurements from cm to inches

Note: While switching, we'll round off to 2 decimal places so there will be minor adjustments.

 

Likewise, you can also convert measurements from cm to inches in your techpack. Let's see how it works- 

 

Step 1: Inside your folder click on the techpack for which you want to change the unit from inches to cm.

 

 

Step 2 . Click on this gear icon located on top of your techpack cards page.

 

 

Step 3: Your techpack setting will pop open, click here on the sizes tab. See the units option at the bottom of the window

 

 

Step 4: Move the toggle to switch the unit from cm to inches as shown in gif below.

 

 

Step 5: A window will pop up for you to confirm that you want to proceed and convert the unit from cm to inches .

Type CHANGE  in the given space and click on CHANGE TO INCH button at the bottom right corner of the window as shown in gif below and its done!
