How to import data from Excel to Techpacker

1. How to copy/paste data from Excel to Techpacker

  

☑ Make sure to add the exact matching number of rows and columns in your techpack section where you will be copying your data from Excel.

☑ Make sure the Excel where you are copying the data from DO NOT have any formatting in the text and there are NO line breaks in the cells.

 

 

Data can be directly copied and pasted from Excel to Techpacker in all techpack sections including measurements, materials, sketches, and even custom sections.

Copy the data from Excel and paste it in the matching cell of your techpack section on Techpacker.

2. How to copy/paste data from Excel to the custom sections

 

Make sure to add at least one card in the selected custom section. Learn how to create custom section here.

 

Data can be directly copied and pasted from Excel to Techpack in any custom sections including costing, fit, quantity breakdown, full custom section, etc.

Copy the data from Excel and paste in the matching cell of your techpack section on Techpacker.

3. How to import excel as .csv in the measurements section

 You can also import your entire measurement table built on Excel and save yourself a ton of time. 

 

Here is an example of what you Excel file should look like. Download

 

Here's how it's done- 

 

☑ Your Excel file has to be formatted in .csv format

☑ Make sure your measurement section on Tech pack completely blank

 

 

Step 1

Click on this open_in_browser.png import measurement from .csv icon located on top-right corner of your Measurements section options panel.

Step 2

As you click on import measurement from csv icon, a window pops-up will open for you to upload your .csv file. Select your file and click open

After you click on open, a table of all the point of measurements will appear in the measurement section in the form of cards.

Make sure the columns having sizes should be made as size columns.

 

 


 

4. How to import excel in the material section

 

You can create the material table by directly importing the excel in the CSV format with all the POM and the tolerances. This will save your time as you don't have to add each POM card-wise. 

Before creating a material table by import csv -

☑ Make sure that your material section has no cards and is completely blank.

 

Step 1

Click on the open_in_browser.png import materials from csv icon located on top of the material section.

Step 2

 

As soon as you click on import materials from csv icon, a window pops-up. Select the csv file which you want to upload and then click open

After you click on open, a table of all the materials will appear in the material section in the form of cards.

Make sure the columns having color combos should be made as color columns.
