How do I preview a product tech pack?
You can preview all of your design cards in a tech pack document at any time. This will require that you switch to TECH PACK from the top right of your navigation bar, as shown below.
Once you click on the TECH PACK icon, all of your design cards with their related information will be visible in the Tech Pack Editor.
How to edit the product tech pack layout?
The section gives you the option to customize your Tech Pack layout and choose which sections or design details to include or exclude. To view your document settings, please follow the steps below.
Step 1: When inside TECH PACK page, you will see Edit Layout on the left with the options for the below:
- Font Size - You can re-size the font at any time. After selecting your preferred font size, you will have a fresh, rendered document with the newly selected-sized text. Click here to learn more.
- Paper Size - To fit more data in your techpack document, you can resize the paper at any time. By default, the paper size is set at A4 Landscape. Click on the drop-down to choose your preferred paper size. Click here to learn more.

Include Summary - A summary or cover sheet is added to your techpack. You can use this
Include summary option from your document settings panel to add/remove this sheet in your tech pack preview. Click here to learn more.

Include comments - Check this
Include comments option if you like to include all your card comments on a separate page. Click here to learn more.

Include files - You can also attach all your card files like excel sheets, reference images, and vector images in form of Ai and PDF files. To do this simply check
to include files option from your as shown below. Click here to learn more.

Hi-Res images - At any time you can turn your images from standard to high-resolution. Simply check this
High-Res images option. Click here to learn more.
Step 2: Click on the APPLY button at the bottom, and the system will render a new tech pack preview.
How to edit the product tech pack sections?
This panel allows you to tailor your Techpack preview by choosing which sections, cards, tables, and layout formats to include or exclude.
Step 1: When inside TECH PACK page, you will see Edit Sections options on the left, next to the Edit Layout. Here's all that you can manage within this section:

Section-wise Include/Exclude Options:
- Cards: You can include/exclude individual cards from each section using checkboxes.
- Tables: Even if a card is excluded, its details might still appear in the table section unless explicitly unchecked. To completely remove a table, uncheck the Include Table option from the pop-up.

Image Layout Options: Choose how your cards appear using these formats:
- 1 Card per Page: Best for detailed sketches with callouts.
- 1 Card per Page (Best Fit): Displays full-page custom images.
- 2 Cards per Page: Balanced layout for images and callouts.
- 2 Cards per Page (Best Fit): Optimally arranges content for clarity.
- 6 Cards per Page: Compact view for quick overviews.
- 6 Cards per Page (Best Fit): Auto-adjusted for best layout.

Additional Table Display Options:
- Include Table: Show section tables (not applicable to Sketches). Learn more here.
- Move Table Before Images: Reorder table to appear before the section’s cards. Learn more here.
- Include Thumbnails in Table Rows: Adds small card images inside table rows (only for Materials & Measurements). Learn more here
- Include Thumbnail on Top of Table: Shows card image above the table for better visual references. Learn more here.
Step 2: Once settings are selected, click APPLY at the bottom to generate a new tech pack preview.
Sometimes, you need to make changes - adding costing, give comments on the first fit, etc to your tech packs and lock those changes in the same form. This can be done by creating different versions. You can create and send the most updated tech pack version of your tech pack with your manufacturer at any time.
How to create a tech pack version
To create a new version of your techpack click on Save Version to lock the changes as a version.
It's a good practice to save a version whenever you change a stage Or when sending updates to your manufacturer. This way you and your manufacturer can capture and see the differences between the versions.
Your latest tech pack version can be accessed from the Versions dropdown.
These versions can be shared with your manufacturers anytime you want directly from PLMBR.
Click on the Send Version on the upper right corner
A window pops-up with a public link.
- Enter your manufacturer's email ID. (50 email addresses at a time are accepted)
- Edit the subject and the message, or keep it as the default and
- click on Share via email.
How to print and download a techpack
To print or download a techpack PDF, click on this icon and an option to
Print & PDF pops up, click on it as shown below and adjust your printer preferences, or just click on Save to download a PDF.
