1.How to export a tecpack/product

 

1a. As a .tpr file (Techpacker’s native format)

Who can use this feature?

What is a .tpr file? 

.Tpr format files, our native Techpacker files, offer users the flexibility to export/import their tech pack/product data conveniently. This feature is particularly useful during account deactivation or reactivation.

 

To download a techpack/product in the .tpr format follow these steps:

Step 1: Inside the techpack dashboard page/products page, select the mceclip4.png techpack or techpacks/product or products that you want to download data, and click mceclip5.png  option menu located on the top navigation bar.

Step 2: A window appears with a list of options. Select Export from the options available. The techpack/product will be downloaded to your system.

This is a native format of Techpacker, so can only be used on Techpacker 

 

The selected techpack(s)/product(s) will be downloaded as a .zip file.

1b. As a .csv file

Who can use this feature?
PLM premium

The downloaded .csv file does not include images.

You can directly download the data in a .csv format from your techpacks/products. Here is how it works:

 

Step 1: Inside the techpack dashboard page/products page, select the mceclip4.png techpack or techpacks/product or products that you want to download data from, and click mceclip5.png  option menu located on the top navigation bar.

Step 2: A window appears with a list of options. Select Download as .csv from the options available. The data from the techpack/product will be downloaded to your system.

All the cards and their information of the selected techpack(s)/product(s) including the columns and the rows will be downloaded in the .csv format.

1c. As a .xlsx file

Who can use this feature?
PLM premium and PLM professional

 

You can download a techpack/product in the .xlsx format from Techpacker in two ways:

 

From the option icon

Step 1: Click on the Doc View/Techpack on your techpack board/product workspace

Step 2: Click on the versions option right next to doc settings.

Step 3: Select the version you would like to download in excel format. Learn how to create a version

Step 4: Click on this  option icon mceclip4.png, followed by mceclip5.png Download as Excel option from the menu

All the cards and their information on the techpack/product including the columns and the rows will be downloaded in the .xlsx format with images.

From the  download-excel.png download excel icon.

Click on the download-excel.png download excel icon located under versions tab. You can directly download the excel format from here.

1d. As a PDF

To download a techpack PDF on your computer, click on this download icon download__4_.png on your Doc view/Techpack page. You can also download a particular saved version of your techpack/product by following the steps shown below.

2. How to import a techpack/product

Follow these steps below to import your techpack(s)/product(s) data in our native .tpr format:

Step 1: Inside the techpack dashboard page/products page, select the mceclip4.png techpack(s)/product(s) that you want to download data, and click mceclip5.png  option menu located on the top navigation bar.

Step 2: A window appears with a list of options. Select Upload Techpacks To Folder/Products as .tpr from the options available.

Step 3: A window pops up and click on choose a file.

Step 4: Select a .zip file you want to upload and then click on Open.

Step 5: Click on Import Techpacks/Products.

Your techpack(s)/product(s) will be imported in the selected folder.
